Post 1984

Oneida commissioned a purpose built factory in the Far East, exclusively for the manufacture of Old Hall products to the same exacting quality standards as hitherto.  Tools for many of the popular lines were transferred over to the new factory and production was supervised by resident UK personnel who had formerly been responsible for production at Bloxwich.

Old Hall marked "Foreign" rather than "Made in England" was introduced into the UK in early 1985 but the Old Hall magic was never recaptured and production ceased after a few years.

NOTE - many thanks to Robin Hawkins (Managing Director of Old Hall throughout the Prestige era) for his valuable contribution to the above.
